Not Amused

My muse
refuses
to write a poem today.

I've offered threats
bribes
and alcohol
all to no avail.

In return 
she's given me
the sort of glares
that start forest fires.

I retreat

This is one of those beautiful, mysterious poems that I don't fully understand, but it makes everything inside of me say "Yes!"
