There was an old man from Éire
who decided to call himself Sarah
so he cut off his flute
wore a dress that was quite cute
and moved to the Rivera.

OK, that was supposed to be a bad NaPo poem... but it morphed away from my intent.

There appears to be a strange time duality here because while it only seems like yesterday that TTB began it also feels like it's been going forever.

The message is crystal clear, and you have the voice of a poet.  There's so much to enjoy here, but IMO the message and poem would be intensified/improved with (pardon the pun) some clipping; sometimes less is more. So much to enjoy here. Especially the way the N is so absorbed by 'her', and by the magnificence of it all that he's transported back to Jordan.

The modified poem is definitely better. When I read the original now it's trying too hard, and it lacks the visual/sensual precision you're renowned for.  Minor crit, L3 could be split... it looks strange.
