Re: Just Published—The Heritage Keeper
Congratulations Jackie! My great-granddaughter's birthday is in Sept. and I will order it for her. She will be 9 but she is very advanced for her age :D . I am always proud to be able to claim some connection to the talented people on this forum. I would love to get a signed copy but failing that an...

Re: Aunt Lucille
This is a poem that I will include in one of my promised updates to the family folio of poems and illustrations. There's a lot to be done on it. I agree with your suggestions so much so that I will print them out before I tackle the edit. Thank you Tracy, my mentor.

Dearly Beloved
I want to say this straightforwardly, in plain words, not an easy task when the subject is abstract. I strung pink lights between my palm trees, solar powered, and made a sign that leans against the center tree that says: keep the lovelight burning, decorations for Valentine's Day. My way of demonst...

Happy New Year

It’s the Year of the Dragon in the Chinese zodiac − associated with good fortune, wisdom and success (theconversa...

Re: Aunt Lucille
Thank you, Dave. I think now the family would not have made everything contingent on her "getting better". Now I would hope we'd have told her we loved her the way she was and admired how courageously she faced her life of extreme difficulty.

Re: TTB Anniversary
Oh Captain, our captain, First, here is hoping you are back in good health. Second, where would TTB be without you? This has definitely been THE PLACE for excellent writing and thoughtful and generous comments. Congratulations to us--we are a wonderful group! I'm actually getting sentimental about y...

Aunt Lucille
No one enjoyed a smutty joke more than Lucy, her guttural laugh let us know she got it, the most subtle double entendre. Yet even family members shouted in her face as if she couldn't hear, used language more appropriate to a child. Brain damaged, so the story went, born with the navel chord wrapped...

Re: What If (Revised)
I'd love to see see it reworked sans questioning and stated as an actual happening. It would be a shame to lose such fine imagery as: Would you bravely protect your poetic self like a poem-oak, and come crashing down, all lyrical bones shattered like glass. I certainly can see this as a personal dec...
