Re: Aprés NaPo Bar & Grill

Excellent!  Not only does it work, it conveys good music.   :D

When I used SoundCloud it had a serviceable free component, perhaps no longer.  In any event, YouTube works just fine.

Cheers

Very, very nice, Aimé.  You have the musical gift.

Love this.

Re: Aprés NaPo Bar & Grill

Imagine we are in a gymnasium on hands and knees.  There is a peanut in front of each of us and our task is to push the peanut with our nose from one baseline to the other.  Our elbows, shoulders and necks tire at differing rates.  Our knees become sore.  The peanut curls off the nose occasionally. ...

Re: Conscientious Objector, Retired

This grows on me.

I am still not sure I understand the dog and the dogs part yet.

Re: Conscientious Objector, Retired

Hi Tim,

Welcome back  :)

I think I  like this poem -- it has an off-beat, eclectic sense to it.  I think I get the out and back sense of being an objector, then retired.  I'll have to read it some more in the morning.

Cheers.

     Music Appreciation

~        Music Appreciation     My head melted to a cafeteria table top     with the rest of my second grade class. A few sneaking peeks and giggles. A roving teacher to keep us quiet, in rows,  repeated the direction -–  close your eyes and imagine what you hear –  imagine what you will! –  she pla...

Re: Aprés NaPo Bar & Grill

Aimé --  what a treat to have you participating.  You bring a music and spirit to your craft.   PoetryForum/PigPen does as you suggest -- one thread for each day of April.  Their twist is that there is a poetry prompt for each day to which the writers respond.  I've done NaPo there twice and it is f...

Re: The Second of May

I discovered in Basel that white asparagus is white because dirt is mounded up over the shoots so that no sunlight gets in to facilitate photosynthesis.  Like in the silence of the TTB basement hallways on the heels of NaPo's finale.  Just me and the bots again. :D :D I can't see how white asparagus...

Von -- I can't tell you how wonderful it was to have you join in the festivities.  The joy you find in capturing moments on paper shines in your work.

Thank you for being a part of this.

Same time next year.  :D :D

The Second of May

~ The Second of May The ticker has flipped over. Digital hallways have fallen silent again – just me and Baidu in a wordless, ceaseless reunion.    Bing will appear presently. Ichiro too, I expect, and the corporate reps - Alexa, Alta Vista, Heritrix, and four of the Googles. Though they all wink in...
