Re: What If (Revised)

I'd love to see see it reworked sans questioning and stated as an actual happening. It would be a shame to lose such fine imagery as: Would you bravely protect your poetic self like a poem-oak, and come crashing down, all lyrical bones shattered like glass. I certainly can see this as a personal dec...

Turn here for a free look: the world's biggest ball of dog hair shed by a thirty-pound terrier collected from under the bed, and off the rug over eight years, and for only a dollar you'll get a full-size photo of it and the dog sig...

Re: Weather

I've read a couple of times and have decided you've written two different poems here. Perhaps, as Colm, says the first is a bit overwritten, but gosh, I miss some of the imagery and atmosphere of the first in the second. Could there be a compromise perhaps?

Re: The Walls of Alhambra

Wonderful write, Greg--mystical, and I was all in. This one little section bumped me out a bit:  each strand into a transcendant place, as if the interior walls of the palace were calling your name, inviting you to partake in the ecstasy of the plunge. I think the "as if" is the first simile in an o...

Re: The Dan Patch Express

Seems like the hurricane is ancient history. We were battened down really well and came through fine. There are worse things to worry about now. Thank you Mark and Dave for your always valued comments.

Re: North on the Starliner

Thank you Gyppo, this is a poem from long ago and still one of my favorite children. I am rummaging through my old writes with a 74 pack of pro colored pencils next to my resurrected drawing board. deciding which poems I want to illustrate. This has been an enlightening experience--the poems that le...

North on the Starliner

I'm posting this after reading it on open mic. It was on TTB as an entry in a contest somewhere. North on the Starliner Wooden crosses from a former life lift and lower power lines from glass-studded arms. The landscape closes in and widens out. Angus graze their way across Moore-ish sculpted hills...
