Re: Nabal Means Fool (in Searching for Kadesh collection)

I had a look. It's a nice enough piece of writing but what makes it poetry? The writer's claim? The page format didn't indicate whether line breaks were included. Otherwise it's just purple prose, imho.

Re: Gone

Thanks for reading my loong poem and for comments, Linda and Gyppo. Thanks for sharing that saucy piece, Linda. No one forgets the first time, do they... No, no sharks, Gyppo, I've never encountered any in the ocean fortunately, just dolphins.  Linda, your piece reminded me of another piece... Bleac...

Re: Holy Synchronicity

I'm not going to apologize for anything certainly not at your behest. Rambling on about comments that were irrelevant to what I deleted is babble. And I told you the mods see what everyone else sees on the boards, so why try to subsequently say otherwise? And I have said nothing about your device. T...

Gone

Revision of a posted piece from a couple years back. Gone I’m seventeen years old again, back in my hometown and I see the young me, walking down the beach toward the sea. At water’s edge, a foaming surge hisses around my toes as I drop my board to strap on collar and leash. The water’s cold, it’s ...

Re: Holy Synchronicity

I'm only going to explain this once. You as an ordinary member can't delete a topic, even one that you started. You can only edit the content by deleting the post but you can't delete the topic, understand? That's why it says soft-deleted in the log of your activity. So the topic sits there on the b...

Re: Holy Synchronicity

Here is the log to jog your memory. There were no comments otherwise I would have left the thread/s alone. Basically cleaning up after you as a courtesy to others, a seemingly thankless task.     Mark 102.140.112.11Thu, 18 Jun 2020, 0:28 Deleted post “Now wow wow” written by “murmac” for the followi...

Re: Nabal Means Fool (in Searching for Kadesh collection)

Given the parameters, I don't think your project is feasible, at least in any readable form. A good prose writer using narrative and dialogue would struggle to pull this off. Yes, line-break spacing etc. What is your definition of prose-poetry? I have attempted interpretations of this concept withou...

Re: Off the Beaten Path

. Tim - I’m a little hesitant to offer commentary on a piece that seems authentically autobiographical – for one thing, such writing is not polished exercise – it’s writ with rawer, deeper tones, but in any event I’ll try and respect the memories.   The forest offers an excellent metaphor for the s...

Re: Holy Synchronicity

I liked the title and the time-lapsed photo. Other than meeting Juliet at a trance dance on the Danube in July, the rest went over my head at about 10 000 ft, sorry. PS. I removed your two content-deleted topics from the board to save others the waste of clicking on an empty topic. Trust that works ...

Re: Nabal Means Fool (in Searching for Kadesh collection)

. Hmm... that's a rather difficult challenge...are we talking dialogue-only poeming or is there narrative as well...? direct or indirect speech = active vs passive voice...how many characters' voices...and what is the POV, e.g. third person omniscient or what... yada yada. So these questions, as yo...
