It's like the Halloween pumpkin lamps still rotting and oozing on doorsteps a week after the event. Do these things become invisible to the owner?
I always take down my May Day votive offering at the end of the day. Leaving it up overnight seems wrong.

Re: Some Mornings
I love this description, can sense the brooding potential in the supposedly extinct volcano. Quote: Some days the silence is palpable. Like the silence which can suddenly descend in a previously noisy pub when someone asks, very quietly, very calmly, "Would you care to repeat that?" Nice one, Inda...

Re: Garden Tour
Indar. The ornaments get more and more tacky each year. There's a house not far from me where they have some very poor Christmas ornaments they set up about five years ago, and they just sit there, in very slowly decaying plastic glory, al year around. The sun has bleached most of the colour out o...

Re: Garden Tour
A wry comment on many aspects of modern life not just garden globes. A fine picture, showing what's missing.

Re: When I Was
Being irreligious shouldn't automatically be seen as being an enemy of religion. Just that you don't want to live your life by that particular narrow set of rules . There may be another path which suits, rather than full on atheism. Dad was brought up as a Baptist, but he never 'banged on' about ...

Re: When I Was
A fine musing, Indar. Thoroughly enjoyed the imagery as well, picturing the small child huddled in the 'safer' end of her bed, reaching out for something she desperately wanted to be there. And the adult version, still clearly spiritual in the presence of nature, ticking off one more thing on what ...

Re: Well Scuff My Shoes!
Since bankers wear ties and those wankers went to schools with school uniforms, called suits when you are an adult, and so many of those bankers are screwign us right left and centre, the only just intelligent conclusion anyone could come to is 'Never trust a man in a suit.' Dad always said you sho...

My neighbours must wonder why I'm laughing out loud at 11 pm.
A fine romp through language and concepts.
Multiverse indeed.
Maybe seminal instead of seminol?

Re: Rock Climber's Hands
It's certainly helped. I'm more upright than I was yesterday. Before the treatment I looked as if I'd been kicked in on my right hand side. My Grandaughter said I looked like a letter 'C'. She offered to 'kick me in' from the other side to see if it would straighten me up. ;-) The Chiro Lady warn...
