Nicely done, Eric.
I can see where you're coming from; while beautiful, they really do seem to be a plant that shouldn't thrive here.
Like Tracy, I was struck by those two lines.
Enjoyed the read.

Re: March
Welcome, Eric
Not a typical Sparky poem in style or opaqueness.
Only crit is the repeated 'birthed'.
I enjoyed this feast of metaphors, especially L4 and L10...and the title is perfect.
A clever and memorable write. Let's hope the lambs don't enter the coddle

Re: Remote
This vision of a controlling SO is written light but scarily.
As Linda said, it's quite the metaphor.
A keen, focused write.

Re: War
Yemen, I assume. A strong POV I personally disagree with. It's a disaster I've been aware of, and has (for a few years) been the primary destination for my donations. I don't believe it's skin/eye colour, more a case of distance. In fairness Europe has taken in millions of dark eyed refugees from ...

Re: Another Red Flag
I actually think I've gone through a period of grieving after tooth extraction--it is like a little death. Imagine how those who have lost limbs must process that loss. I assume that's not a vanity thing, Linda. I read somewhere that women have a much more profound connection with their physical bo...

Re: Another Red Flag
Apicoectomy, the dentist makes an incision in the gum where the root joins the jaw and removes the infected root end. If he didn't remove all of the infected material there's a chance it could return...it did, and I had to have a second one. My dentist always handed me a looking glass to show what h...

Re: Another Red Flag
Jeez, Linda. At this stage I've literally spent the better part of a week in various dentists' chairs; fillings, refillings, crowns, extractions, root canals and a few 'delightful' apicoectomies. I thought I knew all the horrors...obviously not  My heart goes out to you and your generous don...

Love
have we stretched it beyond recognition, uncoiled it so far to just a strand a weak, exposed thread it's not real, never was. Evolved to prolong protection, chemicals formulated to initiate coitus and rabbit the habit, deceive the conceived and if enough people believe and love conquers war, wha...
