Re: Toby, If

Love it -  such a difficult reality we are left with.  So difficult to try to deal with introvert realities.  I like this write, this very to the point short write.  Please keep writing..............

Re: Tribes

Colm - what a beautiful and gripping write... and what a touching tale of selflessness.  Thanks for the link - I had no idea.  Honor goes to the Irish people for not forgetting, living the admonition "Never Forget."  And I understand the shedding of a tear or two................

Re: I Thought She Was A Goddess

Wonderful write, difficult write, and tells lots.  I go with the thoughts that it is so incredibly sad that one could be lost in the unwinning battle to find one's worth in one's appearance and features, and not give one any value to one's heart and soul... to be so lost to the whims and fancies of ...

Re: A Fish in the Dark

This is beautiful, Linda, and wrenching, awakening.  I think Colm speaks volumes about it. So wonderfully well written.

Re: Who can you blame?

Colm, this is really good.  I like the idea of taking this into a play or longer story.  "Before you became it"

Re: The Profane

Hooray Another post--NaPo poets are coming back to life slowly but surely. This write needs no music but I did hear some in my head as I read it. Mother Nature in your poem speaks as well for the very vermin she intends to rid herself of, me for instance, I drive a car with an internal combustion e...

Re: The Profane

Hi Colm - glad to be back.  Hope to put in an appearance once in a while and go a few rounds now that the NaPo gloves are off  ;) I agree that a free form poem might paint the gravity of the message a bit more strongly, but this is a song, written to composed music... these are lyrics induced by the...

The Profane

I came up with some music a few days ago and as often happens the music tickled my Muse and some lyrics started to take shape. So, outside from the shelter of NaPo 2020, let the arrows fly !!! The Profane   I saw Mother Nature rise up    I saw her respond that day She forced herself from her deathbe...

Re: Songs - the other poetry

Hi Deb - glad you got an opportunity to listen to the song and wrap yourself up in it.  Glad you liked it.   Guitar is a very lovely instrument.  So much fun to learn to play.  You should pick it up again and teach yourself what you taught those elementary school kids.  I love your description "like...
