Congratulations to all who participated.  The runner-up poem was incredible as well.


Here is the reprise of the winning poem:

Family

We don't wear shoes
so you can't 'walk a mile'.
No point in giving us a typewriter either,
we could do it
but it's getting warmer
so Shakespeare can wait,
he has eternity.

We sometimes wonder
what we taste like,
only because you eat us.
Do you wonder how you'd....

Apols for 'borrowing' your camera
and the fuss it caused,
but we had fun
and hope we looked
as sexy-cool as we felt.

We will come down from the trees
when you're gone
or
when they're gone.

We're family, and we break things,
it's what we do.

But you evolved too quick
and you've broken them too fast.
