Entropy and Recycling

Post by Colm Roe » Sun Jan 13, 2019 7:47 pm

Breaks don't fix themselves,
it's thermodynamics.

Broken brakes won't slow you enough
and downhill,
hairpins work in harmony with them.

After the crash
bones mend themselves, but
without intervention, like children
they'll put square pegs in round holes.

You'll limp.

Breaks require energy.
Collect the shards, melt them,
you'll recreate the windscreen.

In readiness
to be broken again.

Either way,
it's all
entropy.

Oh Colm,

I am working on a project with a Jan.20th deadline and swore I'd only look in on TTB until its done. But I have to make an exception to say how much I love this one.

Love this Colm. The matter-of-factness blends the humor touchingly.

The poem works with or without the last two lines.

"After the crash . . . ." :D :D :D
