Dear Nietzsche,

Is poetry dead?

Poetry, like true storytelling, never really dies.  But, like Global Warming and Ice Ages, it is a cyclic phenomenon.  Just as seeds and roots can lie dormant but still potent until the conditions are right for growth.  Just like Spring and Neap tides know their time and place and need no man-made reminders.

It's certainly dead around here
But it's peaceful.
Typo with his name?
And no, it's not dead...just waiting for good men (and women) to do something.
Clever poem indar

Thanks both of you Gyppo and Colm,

I'm so glad someone is still out there and reassured my computer wasn't stuck :)

I guess more of us are here but busy. Sadly there is life and there is poetry. They dont always harmonise.

And life gets more complex by the year. For some of us (me) poetry can become an avoidance technique.
