My favorite old saying of late:

There are none so blind as those who WILL NOT see.
Never heard this!

Really nice work, poet-e.  Great stuff, and enhanced by the page display.  Great exploration.

As to "There are none so blind as those who will not see", I copy and paste the following:
There Are None So Blind As Those Who Will Not See:
• According to the ‘Random House Dictionary of Popular Proverbs and Sayings’ this proverb has been traced back to 1546 (John Heywood), and resembles the Biblical verse Jeremiah 5:21 (‘Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not’). In 1738 it was used by Jonathan Swift in his ‘Polite Conversation’ and is first attested in the United States in the 1713 ‘Works of Thomas Chalkley’. The full saying is: ‘There are none so blind as those who will not see. The most deluded people are those who choose to ignore what they already know’. Image

NP!  Love a good hijack.

I never heard of the ‘Random House Dictionary of Popular Proverbs and Sayings’ AJ.  I can't find it online.  Is it just in a book format?

poet-e -  It is a physical book available in several outlets, like Amazon and others.

In the case of this "proverb", I simply Googled the the whole proverb and was directed to this blurb from the book.

Hardly like doing research, Linda, as in the days of nose in books and indexes and bibliographies !!!!!! ;)

Really like this poem, poet-e.
