There's a party you'd avoid
if you could.
They're building islands,
but not in a good way.
Oh there's sand and warm seas,
they don't send postcards though
just cold messages to the West.

They're concocting legal invitations
to students and youths,
'Come to the mainland'
for a fair trial...we insist.

Their loud demonstrations
expose my silent cowardice
and I bunker down,
a wimp in sheeps' clothing
with 'Made in China' labels
in every wardrobe.
Embarrassed red
and I will redder soon, when
young, brave blood spills this summer, and
King Kong falls.

They love to share,
a party that lives to give,
Sars and Covids, while
Russian bears sniff for cadavers.
Ukraine, Crimea, Georgia.
Lots of parties,
and silence
in plain view,
shrouded in information.

Isn't it strange we used to know more
when we were told less!

I'm afraid this is going to get really ugly. Can anything else in the world go wrong? Oh stupid question.

The protesters have been relatively non-violent.
With the new legislation they're about to pass I have a feeling it will become
extremely bloody. And the West will just ignore it...we have become absolute wimps.
Russia and China will become bolder; they're planning global, while the West just
thinks in dollars. America used to police the world...unfortunately it's a puppy in
diapers now, held on a red leash.
Where the fuck are our leaders?

It looks like the Great Bear and the Yellow Peril have decided  over the last several years that they've had enough of the West dictating the rules and setting the table, pushing "defensive" missiles to their borders and invasions and regime changes everywhere.................... It will not be pretty, but you reap what you sow, especially if one has forgotten how cooperative diplomacy functions.
On the one hand, it is good that our dicks have been limped - on the other hand, see the new erections and what carnage they will produce..........
There seems to be no good solution at the moment - but there must be more cooperation on as many fronts as possible... gee, the coronavirus could be a small step in so many ways.  
More horror on the horizon, I fear.............
