Unburden. Hear the greening chatter,
under the waterfall, the laughter -
unfrozen, a clarion of ghylls.
Unwrap and sip the greening sap,
unearth the tap, all roots refill.
Hear the playful chatter. Unburden.

A February Walk
Re: A February Walk
Spring fever seems more intense this year. What a joyful, well crafted write. It reads like a mantra with the lovely repetitions. It also is filled with hope for the world. Enjoyed greatly.
Re: A February Walk
It may seem strange to say this but this poem really unsettled me rather than providing a calming effect. The accumulative UNs when read aloud were for me too much and sucked the joy out of the poem especially when paired with the imperatives. Clearly, this is a personal reaction and not representative. I can appreciate the idea though.

That was my intent Linda. I've had my jab this week and felt a little 'wonky' when walking, but saw a Bullfinch and thought that was what the poem said. Simple joys!It also is filled with hope for the world
I'll take that as a win DaveI can appreciate the idea though.

Do you mean you got vaccinated? I got my second shot Tuesday. It is a relief isn't it?
Re: A February Walk
I've got to wait a number of weeks for the second one, but yes, it is a moment to appreciate.
