the loss of sideways glances

They used to agree, the old folks;
walking on the grass was wrong,
or jaywalking, or feet on seats.
Sex could be heard but not seen.

I am an old folk now and have nothing to say
so I take away the grass, the cars and seats.
You can watch the sex whenever you like
just shut up about it.
