Seems to me that every time I step out into the garden it's starting to rain.  But...

My Fire-Maple is still stark,
nearly bare but,,,
Thousands of tiny buds,
tight furled and brown, 
sharp points of incipient life
awaiting the call, 
the brush of sunlight
and the stirring of sap.
When they open it will be sudden.

The ragged remnant of last year's nest,
horribly exposed in the leafless Maple,
has been visited by pigeons.
They seem to like the location
but await the thick greenery
before they will rebuild it,
lay a pair of eggs,
and crap all over the tarpaulin
covering my little motorbike.

Sweet poeming Gyppo and the second one made me laugh as you knew it would
