Valentine's Day

Post by Colm Roe » Mon Feb 12, 2018 7:41 pm

As I left for work
my lazy, useless, bitch of a wife actually hinted
'something shiny and something expensive,
in a box with a bow would be nice'

On the way home
I stopped off at a DIY store,
attracted by the bright shiny chrome axe in the window.

Her funeral cost me a small fortune
and I'm not sure her family appreciated
the big red bow on her coffin.

But she got what she wanted,
it was
our best Valentine's Day ever!

Geez!  The bow on the coffin!
Another death poem - this time it is not your death.
Very entertaining, in a dark sort of way.

Consider in S.2 L. 3 to delete either bright or shiny.  Just my thought.

Who are you? And what have you done with drab?

Not sure where this ranks on my list of all-time tasteless poems.
But it is rank

I recited a poem last night, the theme was Valentine's Day; this poem was used as part of my introduction.
And was probably more high brow than the poem I chose
Tracy forbade my from posting those here...but sometimes I can't resist.
So I'm on your list Tim
No, I like that.
Thanks for looking in.
