.
When Death frowns from a heavy sky,
the importance of molecules is inverted.
You inhale the stealth of magnetic aether
and quantum intimations. Alas, alas, the coils.
Cycle
Re: Cycle
Here's Mark with one of his quatrains for us to puzzle out.
I've read this a number of times and get this feeling of archaic language mixed with the wildest scientific speculation that is in line with a persistent human fear.
Alas alas the coil, of course caused me to google the Shakespeare quote:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mortal_coil
Alas alas the very air we breathe in this modern world.

Re: Cycle
I like this Mark. When faced with the 'spectre', minutes and seconds become kings.
Catching the smell of an impending 'storm'...small hints. Nice writing.
Still can't enjoy the 'alases' though.

Re: Cycle
New sprouts in the turnip patch!!
A frowning death downs the up quarks,
ups the down quarks, flushes magnetic infinity
from the flux, finally, unpacks coils in the engine
of your stealth cycle, cycling into a heavy sky.
I'm getting too old for this.
And yes, welcome back Mark.
