Yes, those three lines: they ignore the shop grills' rotten teeth the Victorian houses' arched brows, and gentrified post-modern double glazing . They really speak to the imagination. Christianity and I are not on good terms, and I doubt that's going to change anytime soon. The same holds true for my relationship with politics. So I'm not entering the discussion, but I did want to chime in and say it's a brilliant poem, no matter which side of the fence you're on.
