Re: I Love the Village People
Hi Colm, thanks for the read--glad it made you laugh You have probably read the comment I often make--poetry is truth but not necessarily fact. I live in a house located in an area for people 55 and older. There is no club house, no party room, no dances or pot lucks--I made that up. I do Zumba at ...

Re: Dream Girl - a pantoum
Whoa---speaking of repetitive ---how did I post double? See that sentence at the top here? Every time I try to "reply" I get my previous "reply". Is it me? Thanks Mark for the fix. OK, assuming this works, Dan, my father, in what might have been an attempt to compliment me but more likely in an atte...

I remember you well. I actually remember some of your poems as being favorites at the time--something about "The dark night of the (some state)" and one that introduced me to the fabulous blown glass artist in the SW. Isn't this fun---a reunion!

Dawn, the time for last chances, one more last chance. No words required in a warm...

Re: Dream Girl - a pantoum
A poetry instructor I took a class from years ago commenting on the sestina form said something that applies to the pantoum as well. These repetitive forms are especially fitting for a kind of mulling over or rant of an obsessive nature. I am in the minority of writers on these forums that actually ...

Hi Vienna (I like that name)
Welcome. I'm more of a classic R&B type but whatever. You say potatoes and I know you will. Great to see you here.

Re: We are Something
Whose faces do they see from the balcony as they pull and pull and pull the trigger These are the lines that made me think of domestic terrorism, maybe because gunfire seems to be more indigenous (to me). It might be too far afield from what you want to say but perhaps something on the order of "wh...
