Re: Sadducee
I like it, Linda. Even more so after your explanation. The way you 'use' the story is excellent, it's like listening to Jesus...the tone of questioning is so Him. Contrary to my surname I'm against abortion, not from a religious standpoint though. Politicians (etc) who quote the bible, complicate th...

Re: Revealing or Burying
Thanks Eric and Mark. Yeah, I've often wondered about abbreviations and acronyms in poetry. They have different meanings, but are similar when understood. Thinking about it, the long form should be used here instead of the abbreviation...it looks lazy; unlike acronyms. All acronyms can be abbrevia...

Re: Staff Conference
Hi Eric, Back from NaPO (you should have been there) and now have to plough back for a month :) Thoroughly enjoyed this rant, and am impressed with your 60 watt brain...mine struggles to register  So many great lines: but here they exist zoologically on the musky fumes of their animal insti...

Re: Survey for TTB Patrons -- Please
1. Other poetry sites...............I very occasionally visit our two previous sites...but only to see how bad most of the poetry is. I've also visited other sites (only because they were mentioned on TTB) but I've yet to find one that's as welcome and as easy to navigate as here. Not sure about coo...

Re: Something
Questions for God; some strange, some universal...but all relevant. Love the title and pleasantly vague conclusion.

Re: A Place Just Right
Really nice read, Eric. Love (or should I say, I'm chemically attracted to ) L2 and 3. You open well, close brilliantly, and the middle ain't too shabby either.
Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Re: Love
Thanks, Eric and Tracy. You too, Dave. I do tend to think/explore ideas as I write; never really sure if I actually agree with what I'm saying. Or if the darker side of me is trying to wind people up; this one, while cynical in nature, is not one of those. What we call love is a genetic/hormonal c...

Re: Men at Work
Add my applause to this charming poem, Trev.
So well written and engaging. Probably just me, but I'd prefer if she'd asked for (and was given) the knife to cut the bread.
Or asked you to cut, and you insisted she did it.
Minor crit in a major poem.
