Hello, I'm new
Hello everyone,
My name is Lisa Quinlan. I moved here in 2015 from the San Luis valley.
I grew up on a sheep, cattle, alfalfa, potato ranch/farm. We kept it for three generations before water shortage and the economy downfall. We lost it in 2013.
My mother and I owned and operated a custom picture framing business in Alamosa, Colo. for 27 years. We hosted a writing workshop for ten years.
I decided I missed the framing work and the people behind it, so I have re-opened my framing business in Williamsburg. "Hang 'Em High Creative Framing."
I am anxious to begin working with the many talented artists in this community.
My father, Vess Quinlan and I are involved with Cowboy Poetry and the Veterans project for writing and storytelling.
I met Tracy Mitchell at open mic and have enjoyed his work. He invited me to join the Tangled Branch.
I look forward to meeting you all and sharing our written words.
Thank you
Lisa Quinlan

Re: Hello, I'm new
Greetings Lisa,
We are all breathlessly writing 30 poems in 30 days for the April Poetry month challenge. Do you feel like jumping in at the deep end? We'd love to have you join us. If not I'll look for your posts on the "post your poems" thread. Looking forward.

Hi Tracy,
well I'm off to a great start!!! I posted a poem yesterday but I don't know where it went, hahaha... I saved the draft but can't find that either... Computers and I don't have the best relationship.

Lisa, sorry you had a problem posting.
Try this --
The General Poetry Board will look like this:
that will take you to this page:
That will take you into the thread. Then click any of the "post reply".
That will open the dialog box to type or cut and paste:
That should do it.
And yes-- alway keep backup copies.
Cheers.

Re: Hello, I'm new
hmmm, yeah that's what I did. I didn't put anything in the "subject" box, like the title.
I don't know. Thanks Tracy
I'll try it again.

Don't touch the Subject line when it is already filled - it is the existing thread into which you are posting.
Good luck, I can't wait to see more of your poems.
